Can substitute ground bison or ground turkey for ground beef, and cooked brown rice for cooked white rice. See recipe for many other optional ingredients, and for gluten-free and vegetarian variations.

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

We really enjoyed this shortcut "bibimbap", made with ground turkey. I had half the shiitakes but added an extra carrot. The gochujang provided plenty of spice, but I would use a little more sesame oil (perhaps on the salad greens?) to boost that flavor.

I used a high quality gochujang which tasted great straight out of the jar. I used beef. The end result was decent but had this almost cloying aftertaste like I had just dumped a random bunch of condiments in it.
