    Great cake to serve for afternoon tea - lovely texture and great flavour. Cake is light enough and we enjoyed the mix of fruit, walnuts and spices. Used unpeeled red apples. Cake broke in half when removing from tin after 10 minutes, leave longer to cool next time.
