Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

    This recipe was selected in my French cookbook club and I’m glad to have had a reason to make it. It’s a recipe I’ve seen for years, but never made. A simple, not-too-sweet buttery shortbread crust with bright cherry jam sandwiched in the middle. We had it for dessert with whipped cream, and I’m looking forward to another piece with some strong coffee in the morning.
