Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

    This is a good, classic pesto, this time made to top her puff pastry tomato-cheese tartlets (same book) with the rest going into the freezer in 1 tbsp portions. To me, this line from the headnote personifies Dorie's style: "...you can have a basic recipe, but what you really need is a willingness to make adjustments to get the blend you like best". This is one of the reasons why I love her writing / books.
