Cranberry pork roast from Mable Hoffman's Crockery Cookery by Mable Hoffman

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Notes about this recipe

I've seen a number of slow-cooker pork recipes using canned cranberry sauce but was intrigued to try this one since it used fresh cranberries (and I had a bag sitting around in my freezer.) The results were pretty good! The pork came out pull-apart tender after 9 hours on low and even seemed to have a little crispy char on it since there was so little liquid in this (I did actually add a little bit of orange juice.) It was more tart than sweet and my only issue was the aroma was a little...funky? The S.O. raved about it so overall I'd say it's a good option to have in my backpocket for an ultra-simple pulled pork.
