Rosemary cheese crackers from Sara Foster's Southern Kitchen by Sara Foster

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

These little crackers are so addictive but so easy to make. I did cut the amount of cayenne pepper in half and it was just right. In fact we noticed that as they sat and cooled they got a bit hotter so I would recommend going easy on the cayenne. I used Tillamook extra sharp cheddar cheese, rolled the dough into two 1 1/2 inch logs and let it chill for two hours in the refrigerator. I found they weren’t quite done at 15 minutes and ended up giving them an extra 5 minutes which was perfect. Afterwards I realized I had forgotten to sprinkle the salt on the top but no one noticed. My guests simply gobbled these tasty little gems up.

Miss Sara’s recipe is good and easy and I love love love the addition of rosemary and the crunchy salt sprinkled on top.... you really need to add them to your repertoire right away.
