    This is easy and delicious! I wanted to layer unbreaded baked eggplant slices with cheeses and a hearty sauce but I was unable to find a recipe that was simple enough for my mood last night, so I used this as the sauce and made my own recipe. This is nice and thick with meat. It makes a big panful, so I also used it to top pasta as a side dish at the same meal.

    This is a nice thick sauce rich with meat. I used it to layer unbreaded eggplant slices with cheeses and it came out great. I also used it to top pasta as a side dish and that was wonderful too. I used only one teaspoon of sugar because we’re trying to cut back on it and there are enough other flavors going on that it was good anyway.
