'Dry' split peas (Mrs Kamud Kansara's Mugh ni dal) from Madhur Jaffrey's Flavours of India: Over 100 Recipes from Kerala, Goa, Gujarat, Punjab, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu (page 70) by Madhur Jaffrey

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

(Mugh Ni Dal) P70 As well as with an Indian meal, this is great as a salad base. (Great with coriander paste stirred through when mung beans added.)
