Chick pea flour pancakes (Mrs Kumud Kansara's Pudla) from Madhur Jaffrey's Flavours of India: Over 100 Recipes from Kerala, Goa, Gujarat, Punjab, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu (page 81) by Madhur Jaffrey

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

I love that chickpea flour pancakes are also very popular in Italy (Farinata), France (Socca) and other places - they are delicious. We've made Pudla/Cheela for a long time, and they are a staple for times when time is short and hunger is great. This recipe has A LOT of garlic - I cut back considerably - and use fewer green chillies.
