Sunflower pumpernickel rye from The Bread Lover's Bread Machine Cookbook: A Master Baker's 300 Favorite Recipes For Perfect-Every-Time Bread - From Every Kind of Machine (page 142) by Beth Hensperger

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Notes about this recipe

It was really difficult to get out of my Panasonic croustina bread machine, I scratched the pan badly. It came out quite good otherwise. For my taste this was too sweet though. It looks like a wholemesl rye bread, but of course the colour here comes from the cocoa, molasses and espresso powder. I prefer a more savoury rye bread with sourdough.

The dome of my loaf sank, but other than that this was one of my favorite bread machine loafs ever. Nice flavors from rye, caraway, and cocoa hint. Lightly sweet, soft, chewy texture with slight crust. A definite repeat! Note: subbed sorghum for molasses

Dense, good flavor with the caraway balancing it. A slightly sweet, chewy texture and good rise.
