    More than with white sauce, I love linguine with red clam sauce with lots of very good extra virgin oil. I have been in love with this pasta for over 20 years. I do add both oregano and fresh basil along with good quality white wine. The clams came from Hog Island fishing and were perfect brininess and size. New photo added.

    Just the way I like my linguine with red clam sauce. To me, this recipe is a blueprint for making the sauce and you can adjust the spiciness by adding more (which I did) or less of red pepper flakes, the amount of extra virgin olive oil and pasta water at the end to coat the sauce. The amount of garlic cloves used in this recipe was perfect for me. Delicious every time.
