    I got some home-grown tomatoes and peppers from my co-worker and was planning Indian food for the week, so I made this lovely dal. I made with masoor dal (red lentils) rather than the mung dal (hulled green lentils), as he suggested as a substitute. It was a delicious lunch! I would definitely make this again.
