Tagliarini with fresh figs Franco Rossi (Tagliarini ai fichi Ristorante Franco Rossi) from The Splendid Table: Recipes from Emilia-Romagna, the Heartland of Northern Italian Food (page 107) by Lynne Rossetto Kasper

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

I've made this twice, once with dried figs and the other time with fresh (as I happened to have some on hand so thought I'd give it a try). Dried works better and has a stronger sweeter fig flavour. With fresh figs you have to add them at the end and cook for a very short time or they disintegrate,

Very easy yet deliciously decadent and rich. If you love figs, this is a great way to use them!
