Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

    This was delicious. Like another commenter, I thought it could do with a little sweet note so I added a touch of sugar and I think it was all the better for it. This recipe is very similar to the one in Revolutionary Chinese cookbook, with only very small differences. From memory I preferred the way this one came out but it be from the off-recipe sugar that made the difference.

    I thought this was quite good but a bit too much tomato flavour for our taste.

    Tasty, but will probably not make this again. In spite of the deep frying, my chicken wasn't very crunchy and like aberne, added a bit of honey.

    This is marvelous. I don't deep fry often but am glad I made an exception. The dish came together pretty quickly, as her recipes do, needing no tweaks. I served with dan dan noodles and some roast duck I picked up from the Chinese grocery store. It has echoes of what you get in a decent restaurant but the sesame oil adds depth, it is lighter than what I've had in restaurants, and not cloyingly sweet. Highly recommend.

    This is so good. I added a touch of honey to smooth out the sour notes a bit and it was great. Came together quickly too. Simple side of paprika and snow peas with ginger and a big bowl of rice.
