Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

    My family loved these relatively healthy pancakes. White whole wheat flour worked well instead of ww pastry flour. We got 12 pancakes (and used plenty of maple syrup).

    These are very good. I’m not sure whether the recipe’s “buckwheat flour” implies that the grain should be somewhat finely ground. But what I had on hand isn’t labeled “buckwheat FLOUR,” simply “buckwheat.” It is quite coarse, looking more or less like oat bran. The batter was quite thin when initially mixed, but after a few minutes it thickened up. The pancakes had a slight crunchiness that I found, if unexpected, rather pleasant.

    So filling and deliciously nutty. Slight sweet but not at all overwhelming. Great breakfast to start your day,
