A book on CKBK that is not showing as such   Go to last post Go to last unread

I just happened across this situation. The book is "Farm Journal's Complete Pie Cookbook" ISBN 0385018436. I saw it on CKBK and went to check EYB to double check that I own a hardback copy. On EYB, I don't see the CKBK link next to it like I do for "Farm Journal's Country Cookbook" ISBN 0385030363.

Just thought I would let you know.

We don't add the ckbk link to every edition of a book, just to the edition that is indexed. If we added the ckbk link to every edition then EYB members would have multiple copies on their Bookshelf when they import the ckbk collection to their Bookshelf. These are the two Farm Journal cookbooks on EYB that have the ckbk links.

"If we added the ckbk link to every edition then EYB members would have multiple copies on their Bookshelf when they import the ckbk collection" - not soi sure that is working as anticipated ...? Or am I missing something?

I seem to have multiple copies of several books that have only added to my shelf via the global CKBK import... two appeared today TWICE: 1992 & 1994 ..:of Classic Food of China and two editions of  The Foods of Greece (1992 & 2018 edn).. in both cases only one of each has the CKBK symbol in its details and a CKBK bookmark...??

I cannot replicate this myself. Have any others members who subscribe to ckbk experienced duplicate entries on their Bookshelf?

Did you already have the one version on your bookshelf and the CKBK version is a different year?

PitterPat - thanks for the suggestion . but "no" is the answer to your query. All I can assume is that if there are multiple copies of the book in the CKBK library imported via EYB's global import, then any duplicates also get added. I'm working through deleting the duplicate books. Thanks for input ;-).
