I love this book.  Few of my all time favorite recipes are in this book like Gazpacho (the best) I am going to make since I just had a dental surgery and need to eat soft foods or soups.  I've probabably made more recipes from this book than any other book.  Granted, it was bought when I was about 20 and full of wanting to expereince new tastes.

Makes me sad it I cannot add this in my bookshelf.  No ISBN.  Is there any way around this?  I would not mind a workaround for this.

Rinshin - email us the book data - title, subtitle, publisher, country and date of publication, format, # of pages and scan or photo of cover.

Thank you Mjes.  I've already submitted what information I could to EYB.  I had to copy and paste the cover from Amazon because my book is missing the cover from years of use.  It is literally falling apart and smeared but I would never replace this book with something newer :-)   I must have gone through all the  recipes in this book with a fine tooth comb.

Also, I started with the original recipes (I was a novice cook when I started) and I would make changes and changes.  It was my cooking school.  I wrote my best renditions right on the recipes.  Some of the recipes have been changed by more than 30% of original ingredients.  I have all the Recipes on Parade books, but my favorites are always Foreign Foods and Desserts.  That Dessert cookbook is fabulous.

You all are being a very bad influence... :P, I have already bought one of your recomendations which I found very interesting "The uncommon Cook Book Copyright 1968" and will check this one too.

I hope you will have a prompt recovery, I recommend also a soup I discovered recently and is very appropriate for this time of the year, the Russian "Okroshka" with Kvas instead of water.

Marimar - wow, you have The Uncommon Cook Book.  My favorite stroganoff is from this book and it's called Stroganoff in Melinkoff style.  What makes this recipe and taste unique and tasty is her use of sherry and lemon.  Makes wonderful  difference.

BTW, thank you for the recommendation on Okroshka soup.  I did not know what that was and googled.  Sounds very refreshing with the use of vinegar in soup.

I like drinking fruit vinegar cut with sparkling water and in the winter, just with hot water.

Your recommendations are really interesting, thank you to you too!, I have been diving in old posts and there are really great discoveries regarding culinary books from all of you, I am delighted. The first recipe I will try then is the Stroganoff you mention, I have an excellent Ximénez-Spínola Pedro Ximenez Sherry that I think it will be perfect for that.

Summer is indeed the perfect time for Okroshkas, Gazpachos, Salmorejos, Ajo blanco, Kheere ka shorbas, etc. I also love acid and all sorts of vinegar, but yours I think is a particular and surely refreshing habit not very widespread. I have a friend who drinks her strong coffee with lemon wedges, that´s also very peculiar.
