I have some vintage cookbooks with ripped binding and pages coming out, even crumbling due to age. Does anyone know if there is a way or restoring or securing these cookbooks so they can be preserved for years to come? I’m more interested in finding a business that does it than me trying to do it myself. Does something like this exist?

Yes, there are businesses that do book repair/restoration. Yellow Pages or Google book repair should give you some leads.

Yes indeed, there are book restoration specialists out there! Do a search online for "book restoration near me" to see if there are any bookbinders or others who repair/restore antique books located close enough to travel to for an in-person estimate, but there are also businesses throughout the US who will give you an estimate based on photos and then restore books you send to them.

Thank you! I’ll try that.

Also, contact a local college/university library for a recommendation of a local bookbinder. Most smaller institutions send their materials out of book repair and/or binding, and are acquainted with local companies. As a librarian, I frequently get asked this question.
