Pasta - any shape   Go to last post Go to last unread

I usually have five or six types of pasta in my cupboard - many interchangable depending on shape, but it seems like I have to specify the shape in order to get a recipe. For instance, asparagus and pasta doesn't go anywhere; you have to use asparagus and penne, or asparagus and linguine. There are a few recipes that say "pasta-any shape", but I would like the word pasta as an ingredient to mean pasta - any type. Any chance of that change being made? Thanks.

You could just type pasta and not choose anything from the drop-down list. Alternatively, you could search for Ingredient Type pasta & noodles - all, in the Advanced Search menu.

Both methods yield recipes with different pasta shapes if I try it on my books, and you can combine with other ingredients.

Or you could select Recipe type "Pasta doughs and sauces" from the drop down list in Advanced search, and then select the main ingredient(s)
