I won Susie Middleton's  book through EYB and beginning to cook from her book.  This book inspires me to cook and I plan to cook every one of her recipes.  The first one up for lunch today was roasted tomato rustic tart.  It was awesome!  I added some eggplant too.  The crust is so flaky and easy to make.  Made it starting mid morning and it was ready for lunch.  Great with pinot noir.  I plan to use this crust for many other savory and sweet tarts.

Nice to hear that a prize-winner is actually using a prize - look forward to hearing of the future successes as you work through the book !

Wow!  That looks beautiful just like the photo in the book.  I'm still at work and hungry and your picture makes me want to go home find a recipe for something just like this.

I found very good instructional blog by Susie Middleton on making of these savory tarts if you are interested in trying.

I made another wonderful recipe from her book for dinner yesterday called pan asian pork and fried rice.  I loved the Southwestern taste of pork and the Southeastern Asian inspired taste of fried rice which had lots of veggies I normally do not use.  Worked out really well.

Not to put any pressure on you Rinshin, but I sent a link for this post to Susie Middleton and she loved it (she is also an EYB member - smiddleton).

No pressure Jane.  I'm glad I won the book and finding really good recipes from her book.
