Deb - is this on EYB or CookShelf? We have introduced spell check on the app which is throwing up a few odd results in the interpretation of mis-spelled words. We are working quickly to resolve this.
If however this is on EYB, could you please email us a screenshot of a search with results that fit those oddities you mention? It will help us identify what may be going on. What is strange though is that no other member has reported this issue and I haven't experienced it myself either (I'm using EYB all day!).
On the specific example you gave of chicken marylands, it is always better to put exact names in speech marks as that then excludes instances of the separate words. In this case the Food52 recipe contained chicken powder. I'm not quite sure where "maryland" was picked up from though I suspect it's a lamb ingredient. If you search with speech marks you would see just recipes containing chicken Marylands. Another suggestion when searching is to apply the ingredient filter to exclude incidental ingredient matches - in this case Ingredient / Meat, poultry & game / Chicken / Chicken pieces. The filters are direct database matches.
Whenever just one member reports a problem, there may be a browser glitch and my suggestion is to clear your browser cache/history and refresh the My Bookshelf page. That may well not be the cause, but it's worth a try.
