Just happened to be clicking about on EYB, adding new book etc, and saw that I joined EYB on May 4 2010. 10 years this weekend.
I am certainly not the most prolific user of EYB, but I am a keen promoter of it, often evangelising in fact, and a great fan of this great idea.
Thanks To our glorious founders.
Cheers Therese

Happy Anniversary Therese! When Fiona and I launched the site back in 2009 we had no idea whether it was an idea that would catch on. It's been slow and steady progress, sometimes frustrating but more often joyful. We have a great team, many of whom have been with us since the early days. And due to the lockdown around the globe we are busier than ever. We had our highest traffic last month and lots of new members joining - people discovering how especially  useful EYB is when you need to cook multiple meals with limited ingredients.

Congratulations Therese! I had to look, and I've been here since October 2011. I evangelize too - I'm always telling people in bookstores about Eat Your Books. Thank you Fiona and Jane!

So today is my tenth anniversary of EYB membership, and it's been a great ten years. In fact, it's also my wedding anniversary (46 years). For our anniversary, we always try to do or get something that we will both enjoy together, and EYB has been the best choice ever. I'm the cook and he is my appreciative audience, so we are both very happy.

Thank you Jane and Fiona, Deborah and (the very patient) Sydney, for giving us this great site.

I'm a relative newcomer having joined at the end of December 2016 but this entire stream of comments made me smile :)

I had to check, and it has been 10 1/2 years for me! I use EYB every day and I don't know what I would do without it. Thank you EYB!

Happy anniversary Avocet! EYB passed its 11th anniversary on August 1st. Hard to believe it's been that long.

Happy EYB 10th Anniversary.

Wow, Happy Anniversary to EYB. And Avocet, happy 46th!  That is terrific.

I just realized that I joined EYB 10 years ago this weekend. This site has given me the best excuse to increase my cookbook collection and has changed the way I cook forever. I have become a much more adventurous cook and reduced my food waste to a minimum. Joining EYB has been one of the best investments ever. Thank you so much for everything you are doing!

Thank you Astrid for your kind words. Much appreciated.

Astrid is our most prolific member indexer, having indexed 128 of her own books, mainly in English but also in German.

Congrats  Astrid5555 on your anniversary and your impressive indexing total!  Your comment resonates with me because what you have said is everythng I have said / will continue to say about EYB.  Reduction of food waste, better use of my books, more adventurous with new techniques /unfamiliar ingredients and becoming a much more willing (and successful!) improvisor are all things that the modest yearly fee has brought into my kitchen.  Also - I am not on any social media platform at all but I love coming here and reading member comments on recipes, the blog and the forum.  I have learned so much during my morning coffee "sit down" with EYB.

Congratulations Astrid5555 on your 10 years and many books indexed. I just checked my account, and my 10 years is happening next week on April 5. Like you and averythingcooks, this site has influenced my choice of cookbooks and the recipes I use. I've always grown most of my own veg and eaten seasonally, and EYB is a great resource to help with that. A few years ago, I started buying kindle cookbooks, something I probably wouldn't have done without this site. I really appreciate the reviews that give helpful info on a given recipe, and I watch out for the "veteran" reviewers (meaning the cooks that have been here for a while). Oftentimes, a few reviews will get me interested in a new cookbook that I would not have known about otherwise. Great site, thank you Jane and Fiona for starting it.

Congratulations on your 10 years Avocet and Astrid5555 (and 46th wedding anniversary Avocet).

I'm only 4 years in with EYB and dipping my toe into indexing with my first book just now but I love the site and am always recommending to people. The recipe reviews are great, really help me in selecting dishes and tweaking them. And making my 180 cookbook collection appear tiny does wonders for any book buyer guilt :-)

Just saw this....  In a few months, I'll be 12 years.  I joined in Jan 2010.

Jane, maybe you remember when you first started up these forums.  I 'discovered' them, and made the very first post!  I suspect it's still out there in the archives somewhere.

I just found it!
