The recipe wasn’t in the book’s index but it’s on page 32

  • Mediterranean lemon cake

    • celeste_8ryupw on February 15, 2026

I’ve made this so many times… every time California lemons come in to season, it’s one of the first things I want to make. It does well with astringent and sweeter lemons!

  • Fruit and nut granola bars

These turned out well and stuck together. I have made Ina Garten’s granola bars and they just crumbled into bits. I like the peanut butter and can see making variations with the nuts and fruit. I made a half batch and got 15 good size bars. The step of topping the pan with parchment paper and using a rolling pin was useful, resulting in level and even bars and helping them stick together. Would make again. I froze 2/3 and will try to update the note when I have a verdict of how they freeze and thaw.
