These palmiers are true buttery, flaky pastry goodness! While the recipe may utilize a "rough" version of puff pastry, they are still fairly labor intensive, but not otherwise difficult.
I baked this in my clear cut-glass baking dish, which is slightly smaller than a 13X9-inch pan. This accompanied our beef tenderloin and sweet potato tian on New Year’s Eve 2019, and it was absolutely delicious! I used a combination of button and king oyster mushrooms but, as good as it was, I look forward to trying other kinds of mushrooms.
