Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Clementine & honey couscous

    • Divecat on March 01, 2015

This recipe is lovely but I would halve the amount of couscous.

  • Thai pesto prawn noodles

    • wodtke on June 26, 2014

This is darn good. I used spaghetti rather than egg noodles, despite having some nice German ones in the pantry, I guess because it seems more of a spaghetti dish to me, and some prepared pesto from Italy (how do they do that?). It was quick, easy, and delicious.

  • Herby chicken & butter bean soup

    • jammydodger on September 04, 2014

This was okay, although I confess I didn't follow the recipe word for word. I made proper stock with the chicken carcass, so may have used more liquid than the recipe indicated. I also used MUCH less chicken - only the scraps from the carcass. Found it a little watery, although of course could be user error. More of a lunch soup than a dinner soup.

  • Chunky butternut mulligatawny

    • raybun on February 05, 2017

I've just started the 5:2 diet and made this for my first two fast days. It was tasty and filling although I'll add some ginger and chilli next time to give it a bit more oomph.
