Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Spicy potato salad

    • FJT on December 23, 2015

This potato salad went down very well with my family. I can imagine it would be a great recipe to make for a potluck, although I might be tempted to reduce the amount of hot curry powder if I were making it for that purpose. The potatoes turn a lovely golden colour after being cooked in water with the curry powder. I couldn't get nigella seeds so I increased the amount of cumin seeds - it didn't look quite as pretty as in the picture but it tasted good.

  • Grey Goose le fizz

    • Jane on October 21, 2018

A pleasant summer cocktail (only reason I was drinking it in October is that I have a bag of limes to use up). There is no sugar syrup to balance the limes but the St Germaine makes it plenty sweet enough for my taste. Mine looked much cloudier than their photo even with straining.

I loved this drink. The recipe did not say to squeeze the lime, but I did, and also put the rind into the cocktail shaker.
