    Creamed dried beef on baked potatoes (pg 45) - yes, wartime recipes can be tasty. The use of evaporated milk makes this creamy (and high in calories). the use of onion, bell pepper, and Worcestershire sauce makes it flavorful. I still prefer it over toast rather than potatoes but it is fun introducing a new generation to what their great-grandparents cooked and ate.
