Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Beef meatball and Guinness stew

    • eeeve on November 10, 2014

This one didn't quite work for us. It smelled lovely, but the Guinness left a weird aftertaste when eating it. And, thinking about it, meatballs don't really lend themselves to a stew recipe - shouldn't a stew be for a cheap cut of meat that will be tenderised by long and slow cooking? Not sure if we'll even give this another try.

  • Cauliflower mash

    • eeeve on October 21, 2014

Easy to make and tastes okay, though every mouthful seems a surprise as one's expecting the taste of potatoes! Won't make it into my list of favourite dishes, though.
