  • Ham & cheese croquetas

      Gorgeous - a real treat. I left out the double cream and Gruyere, making up the difference with extra cheddar cheese. The tomato jam is tasty and goes well but is fairly sweet. When making again I'll probably serve with a different, less sugary sauce. Needs 4+ hours to chill the croquetas mixture. (I got away with shaping and cooking a few after about 90 mins, but had to stop as most of the mixture was too wet.)

  • Squidgy chocolate pear pudding

      For people who like darker chocolate, this would be a very satisfying pudding. Lives up to its name, it is squidgy and rich, and the pears (we used fresh pears) are a refreshing addition. It went down very well, people wanted seconds.
