Notes about Recipes in this book

  • New England baked beans

    • Aggie92 on July 12, 2017

Easy and good. Omitted the bacon and the taste was a little flat. So I added 1 tablespoon of molasses and that really made them taste more like the long-cooked baked beans I love.

  • Five-spice baked beans

    • dinnermints on February 05, 2018

This was fairly good. I needed a vegetarian version, so I skipped the bacon. It did turn out a bit sweet; I'd decrease the honey to 1/4 cup. And I prefer my baked beans with a kick, so I added a bunch (at least 2T?) of chili garlic sauce.

  • Plank-grilled miso salmon

    • srewolf on July 18, 2023

Or slather salmon steaks w mayonnaise and grill: https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1024193-grilled-salmon

  • Zucchini, corn & egg casserole

    • Krisage on July 07, 2019

Subbed goat for feta cheese, but otherwise followed the recipe. Tasty! Milder than I anticipated. Might be nice with a dash of cayenne.
