Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Mini meatloaves wrapped in bacon

    • kbrooks on January 13, 2025

These are really delicious and elegant. My husband asks for this often. I vary the recipe by substituting ground pork or chicken for half the ground beef. The directions say to spray the pans with cooking spray but the bacon provides plenty of fat so the spray is not necessary.

  • Butternut squash and Swiss chard lasagne

    • mjperkins on October 03, 2017

Wow, wonderful taste. Took me 3 hours to assemble. Makes about 12 servings.

  • Mussels with fennel and fregola

    • chawkins on July 06, 2022

Very different from my usual mussel preparation, but we enjoyed these just as much. I used my garden fennel and doubled only the amount of mussels because they came in two-pound bags. Also used Israeli couscous which was suggested as an alternative to the fregola.

  • Cocoa cardamom streusel

    • Mtetpon on October 28, 2017

Put this on top of pumpkin muffins. So perfect!
