      Lovely little cake to use up some leftover ricotta cheese. I used an 18 cm bundt tin which worked perfectly.

      I did not trust the method mentioned in the recipe, so I started off by creaming butter and sugar, adding the egg yolks one by one, then alternating milk and flour, folding in the whipped egg whites and then the apples. Final cake was moist with a very tender crumb. Very good!

      Good pie. Very fragrant while baking. Easy to make. However I hated the crust recipe which was super soft and hard to work with. Tasted good though. I made it without chocolate and one of my tasters suggested it would be good with chocolate.
