      This was absolutely delicious - a huge hit with everyone. I subbed ruby beer for red wine but a new family favourite. Amazing depth of flavour

      This was surprisingly good for the lack of effort involved. I used some pork loin steaks I found languishing in the freezer and subbed a shallot for the leek. I took the advice of one of the comments online to cover with cider rather than water. My husband said it’s absolutely nothing like the pork casserole his mum made in the 70’s but he’d certainly eat this one again.
