      A really nice pie idea. The puff pastry works well with the filling and there is a good amount for serving a small dinner party. Quite a few steps to make the filling though amd I didn’t have time to let cool completely before putting on the pastry to put in the oven, but that didn’t seem to make a difference.

      I first chose this recipe as an easy way to use up a variety of ingredients I had on hand. As I was preparing the dish, I had my doubts as to whether there would be enough flavour. I was wrong to doubt the recipe, this was a very nice autumn dish - flavourful and comforting. And it looked like a lot more effort then it was.
