Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Orzo and chickpeas with turmeric-ginger broth

    • FunkyViriditas on July 30, 2023

Super bland. Even the reviews said this. To its credit, it's nice and light. Perfect for summer. More salt, less lime, more coconut milk and some FAT! I used olive oil. I just poured a bit in but perhaps a quick saute of the chickpeas in olive oil can save this.

  • Spiced pear spritz

    • anya_sf on February 15, 2025

Really enjoyable drink made with less common ingredients which I just happened to have. Lightly sweet but not cloying. Inexpensive sparkling wine worked very well here.
