Excellent! Lots of garlic and onion and spices, we all loved this dish. It did not thicken up a ton, but that was fine. I roasted some honey nut squash and put that along side, which was a good flavor combination. I would definitely make this again, am I’m glad I made a double recipe to freeze some.

  • Creamy spinach pasta with white beans

Hm. This recipe was okay, but is sort of screaming for olive oil. And/or more cream cheese; I did not find that the sauce turned out to be "creamy." The flavor was good, though. Some lemon zest would not be amiss in the sauce.

  • Carrot cake

This cake is an updated version of their original carrot cake, which I've been making for years. This newer version is not worth the trouble. The original bakes in a 9x13 (instead of the fuss of two layers) and includes the pineapple and nuts in the batter, which I far prefer to having a pineapple "jam" between the layers (a concept that did not work well for this cake) and the nuts sprinkled on top.
