Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Cream cheese-stuffed vanilla-peppermint cookies

    • Shewi128 on March 19, 2021

These were nearly impossible to form with the cream cheese in the middle. I would recommend maybe freezing the little scoops of cream cheese before forming the cookie around them. However. the flavor and texture was really good!

  • Christmas sugar cookies [royal icing]

    • Shewi128 on December 28, 2022

These turned out really well. They surprisingly held their shape without any refrigeration. I recommend the lower end of cooking range as they ended up being slightly too crispy. However, the texture and flavor were both nice.

  • Pear and cranberry kuchen [spiced shortcrust pastry]

    • Shewi128 on March 19, 2021

The flavor and texture were good, but the crust was too hard and crumbly.

  • White chocolate-peppermint scones [vanilla glaze]

    • Shewi128 on January 09, 2023

This was a decent scone recipe. It turned out ok, the texture was tender, and the flavor was good. However, the glaze was very thin and yellow and didn't look like the picture at all. It also made too much even though I double dipped the scones. Also, the shape changed as they cooked, which doesn't happen often for my scones, even when frozen overnight. Don't think I'll repeat this recipe as it wasn't a favorite.

  • Slice-and-bake holiday confetti cookies

    • Shewi128 on March 19, 2021

These were buttery and slightly crispy. The sprinkles made them quite festive. Don't know if it's a repeat recipe, but it was fun.

  • Kugelhopf

    • MollyPellecchia on December 02, 2020

Gorgeous cake, baked in a 10 cup kugelhopf bundt pan. Mine took an extra 15 min. May add a sugar syrup to the outside the next time.

  • Gingerbread Dutch baby pancake

    • Shewi128 on March 19, 2021

Dry baby pancake. I don't know if it was overcooked or what. It was not worth the effort. I would not make again.
