      This is delicious, but the baking times are way off for both components, the sponge layer and the cheesecake layer. Both werde done after half the time, maybe it’s just my oven. However, caught it in time and tasted so good.

      Made 2/3 of the recipe in an 8x8 inch square pan. Substituted lime for orange and added some black sesame seeds as well. Incredibly delicious! Was asked for the recipe several times.

      Interesting cake. Described by my partner as ‘grownup’ as in that flavour may not appeal to a younger palate. I think that it may be the rose water, so be careful when measuring it out. The beetroot juice icing is rather alarmingly shocking pink. Having said that, its a lovely cake with a great texture and went down very well with my colleagues.
