    Asparagus & shrimp (pg 81) has shrimp marinated in sake and asparagus with garlic and red chili. The combination adds soy sauce and lemon juice from the garnish. The flavor is complex enough to be interesting and is well-balanced. I would not consider the chili to be optional.
