      Really good flavour. I thought I cooked my tomato sauce until it was very thick but when layered with the aubergine it still oozed quite a bit of excess liquid that ruined the texture a bit.

  • Almond and blackberry tosca cake

      Subbed mulberries fresh from the tree for blackberries. A strange cake .. base is a simple genoise, I think the almond topping is really too heavy for such a light base - very difficult to spread "evenly" over a 3/4 cooked sponge. A very moist dessert cake, and quite rich.
