Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Mezcaletti [Richard Boccato, Dutch Kills]

    • Ileana on May 16, 2021

This was delicious. Like a potent and smoky root beer, in a good way. Used Crude Bitters orange + fig bitters.

  • Mezcal mule [Jim Meehan, PDT]

    • peaceoutdesign on April 03, 2026

This was alright, I had to use cucumber bitters because last minute I couldn't find one in the fridge. I do think that it needs more than an ounce of ginger beer.

  • Naked and famous [Joaquín Simó, Death & Co]

    • peaceoutdesign on November 06, 2023

Very similar to the Last Word with mezcal, which I would call "Ultima Palabra". I used green chartreuse instead of yellow due to what was on hand.

  • Grapefruit-infused El Jimador blanco tequila

    • peaceoutdesign on June 11, 2022

I infused 2 weeks but could also sous vide.

  • Hibiscus-habanero syrup

    • peaceoutdesign on May 23, 2022

I made this as a tincture instead of a syrup just to have the preserving power. I used 10oz Everclear, seeded the habaneros, and used 30 grams, 1/2t vanilla, 5 orange zest stripes, g of dried hibiscus, and no sugar. Great taste but none of the burning power, and I don't know if this is good or bad...maybe next time I won't seed all the habaneros. I didn't mix the Tincture in with the cocktail but floated it on the top and it was a beauty.
