Miso-marinated salmon (pg 144) - an excellent salmon recipe that works well in a bento box.

Wakame, cucumber & prawns (Sunomono) (pg 64) - ginger matchsticks add texture and flavor to the basic salad mix dressed with a typical Japanese dressing. This is a great recipe that is very flexible - prawns, crab, lobster, shrimp, octopus ... I'm not sure I have a favorite.
