Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Roasted cauliflower, lentil and currant salad

    • murphyfrank on February 03, 2026

The quantity of cauliflower could definitely be increased. Nothing exciting about this recipe. Sarah has many salad recipes I will make again - this is not one of them. Generous serves

  • Thai green curry with broccoli and chickpeas

    • Hellyloves2cook on January 15, 2026

I made this for dinner this evening... I thought 190g of green curry paste was rather excessive. I use the Mae Ploy brand in a tub.... Thats half the tub. I decided to use just a wee bit more than I normally use (without following a recipe) I added around a heaped tablespoon in this. It was medium spicy and very pleasant. I didn't have broccoli so I subbed that with cauliflower. I am glad to use some of my courgettes from my garden as I have a glut. It was a delicious recipe and I would use again. I swapped out peanuts with cashews but added those at the end for crunch.

Like another reviewer I reduced the quantity of curry paste. I used a tin of maesri curry paste (114g) & it was definitely spicy. Like most of Sarah's recipes it is delicious & I also know it is good for us.

  • One-pot chicken and broccoli pasta bake

    • murphyfrank on February 10, 2026

I added some frozen corn. It was fine & very generous serves.

  • Beef, cherry tomato and haloumi bake

    • sally_wpf7am on April 22, 2026

So good!! A huge hit with the family

  • Healthy chicken and pumpkin curry

    • murphyfrank on February 22, 2026

I followed the instructions for cooking this in the oven. When I took the curry out after 2 1/2 hours it was very dry. I added a splash of chicken stock & some water with the pumpkin & zucchini. A mild curry.

  • Beef goulash with buttered mushrooms and gnocchi

    • sally_wpf7am on April 19, 2026

Delicious!!! Served it with mash sweet potato and steamed greens.
