Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Slow-roasted salmon with fennel, citrus, and chiles

    • SpatulaCity on January 03, 2025

The combo of roasted fennel, citrus and jalapeño is awesome! Overall though this was just good because the rind on the orange and lemon was a big turn off for us. It was so bitter even after slow roasting for the required time. It is pretty though - maybe next time I’d peel half the lemon and orange and use the unpeeled slices for garnish.

  • 10-minute broccoli in garlic sauce

    • SpatulaCity on January 03, 2025

Oh my goodness this is some of the best broccoli I’ve ever made. I halved the recipe and wish I had also cut back on the pan-steam time to compensate. When my broccoli came out the florettes were a little mush, however, the flavor was so good I couldn’t stop eating it anyway

    • Stephenn31 on February 09, 2025

Delicious and easy. Keep an eye on the steaming, as the broccoli may cook quickly. I used stock instead of bouillon paste and it worked well.

  • Cranberry-maple mule

    • meggan on December 04, 2024

Really tasty - some of us added bourbon - sssh.

  • Miso-glazed carrots with scallion gremolata

    • msl521 on December 01, 2024

Thanksgiving 2024: Soooo good. Hard to go wrong with miso and maple, but the sharp tartness of the gremolata really brings it to life. I used about 2/3 carrots and 1/3 parsnips.
