Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Basque bean soup

    • Rachaelsb on January 19, 2023

Not a winner. Have never had this soup before, and recipes from this cookbook are always so reliable. Flavors never came together.

  • Parsley soup

    • ldebuys on February 27, 2026

This was a surprising win! The parsley flavor did a lot to lighten of the heaviness of the dairy and potatoes. It was basically a potato soup though, make no mistake. Would definitely make again as it was dead easy and pretty cheap.

  • Fresh mushroom salad

    • bsproat on January 15, 2015

This is a delicious salad that's a little different from a standard green salad - though it includes greens. What we really use it for is the delicious lemon-garlic-olive oil dressing that has become our standard dressing for all green salads.
