When Janet Laurence's husband retired she faced the problem of having to provide meals for two people. Gradually she adapted recipes, devised new ones and learned to look ahead so that producing meals once again became a pleasure and not a pain. This book is based on her experiences and is designed to help anyone cooking for just two - whether newly married, couples with no children, those dining without their kids, or anyone inviting a friend for a meal.
