Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Pineapple & carrot loaf

    • London_Mummy on February 01, 2026

This was nice enough but the recipe produced too much batter, which overflowed a bit. The fresh pineapple's flavour also got a bit lost within the tastes of carrot, walnuts & sugar.

  • Black & white ginger Florentines

    • London_Mummy on December 29, 2025

These florentines are rather gorgeous & taste superior to the shop-bought ones, which all contain various heavily-processed sugar syrups which drown out the other flavours. Instead of orange peel & white chocolate, I used up some glacé cherries, mixed dried fruit & dark chocolate, which I preferred.
