We loved this dish. Made it with first of the season asparagus from the farmer’s market and broiled it in the oven. Doubled the sauce. It was fantastic highly recommended. Used Santa Cruz organic dark chunky peanut butter.
This is a perfectly fine and simple sangria recipe. I may just not like sangria or maybe only cold on a warm summer day.
Most lemon bars are disappointing. They may look beautiful but they are gummy and pasty with little lemon flavor. This recipe makes the quintessential lemon bar with a vibrant and balanced lemon filling and a tender, buttery crust. I've never seen a recipe that called for more lemon juice (2/3 cup).
I second mamacrumbcake's note on this lemon bar recipe. These are excellent lemon bars - great tangy lemon flavor, great filling texture, and a buttery, tender crust. [Cross-post for Annual Edition/Magazine/Cook's Ill. Cookbook.]
