      A fair amount of prep work, but worth it.

  • Broccoli-bacon salad

      This is a delicious salad. I didn't chop the broccoli, but separated it into 1-2 inch florets. Then blanched them briefly to take a little of the rawness away: 1-1/2 minutes in boiling salted water and 1 minute in an ice bath;drain really well before adding to the rest of the ingredients. Really nice flavor combination.
