Classic European nougat from The Liddabit Sweets Candy Cookbook: How to Make Truly Scrumptious Candy in Your Own Kitchen! by Liz Gutman and Jen King

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Notes about this recipe

Making a full batch of this recipe will overflow a regular standing mixer creating a sticky mess, you need the larger home size or to cut the recipe. Also, the honey flavor is quite overpowering so I replace half of that with corn syrup when I don't want a very honey-y candy. Using salted peanuts as the nuts in a smaller batch is delicious (homemade Big Hunk bar for anyone interested in candy nostalgia)

Yes, five degrees does make a difference; if you're a candy newbie, do not attempt this recipe without a thermometer.
